North Shore Lookout Policies

Check-in time is 3:00 pm
We will be happy to accommodate an early check-in if your room is ready. Please inquire with us first at least 7 days prior to your arrival if you would like an early check in.
Check-out time is 11:00 am
Late check-out can be arranged depending on reservation schedules. Please inquire at least 7 days prior to your arrival if you would like a late check out.

-Please note in addition to the room rates, we must also add Hawaii tax of 13.42%
(Hawaii’s 4.167% general excise tax on all purchases plus a 9.25% hotel room tax)
-Rates are for two people per room. Additional guests are an extra $50 a night per person.
-Rates include daily breakfast served from 7:30am to 9:30am. Please advise if you have any dietary needs at least 7 days prior to your arrival.
-All rates are subject to change. Rates can increase during seasonal months and holidays.
-Daily maid service is NOT provided but can be arranged for an additional charge of $25 a day. Please inquire for daily maid service upon making your reservation.
– Clean towels and sheets are provided throughout your stay.
-For stays over 10 nights there will be a complimentary mid stay cleaning.
-We are a 100% NON SMOKING Property.
-No children under the age of 10 unless preapproved by management.
-No pets

 

Reservations

A deposit of 50% is due to reserve your stay. The remaining balance for your stay is due 60 days prior to your arrival date. For reservations made within a 60 day period 100% will be due upon booking. We accept credit card payments and will also accept personal checks. If paying by check the deposit must be mailed and received within 7 days of making the reservation. A 5% discount can be given to reservations paid in full at the time of the booking. The paid in full booking with 5% discount is nonrefundable. Confirmation of your reservation will be emailed to you along with all check in instructions after payment is received.

 

Cancellations

Cancellations made 60 days prior to arrival will receive a refund of 100% of the deposit. Cancellations made 30 days prior to your arrival will receive a refund of 50% of the payment. Cancellations made after 30 days prior to your arrival are nonrefundable.
We recommend all guest to purchase travel insurance. In the event of a storm our policy is as follows:

If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless:

  • The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a “Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area” and/or
  • A “mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning” area of residence of a vacationing guest.
  • The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a “Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning,” area, we will refund:
      • Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;
      • Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and
      • Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the “Hurricane Warning” period.

 

House rules

1. Quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., during which time the noise from the Bed and Breakfast home shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.

2. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the bed and breakfast home is prohibited. Please do not have radios or loud music playing devices outside.

3. Please be very cautious while driving in our neighborhood. Be aware of blind corners, children at play, people walking, horseback riders and pets.

4. Please be aware of your noise level at the entry gate and take care to lower any radio or music while entering in consideration of our neighbors.

5. Vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area only and shall not be parked on the street or driveway.

6. The Pool and hot tub are only to be used during the hours of 9:00 am to 9:00pm.

7. No diving allowed in the pool at any time.

8. No glass allowed in the pool area.

9. The pool and hot tub settings are not to be altered without permission.

10. The grilling equipment is to be used during the hours of 9:00am and 9:00 pm only. Please notify the owners the day of use.

11. If guests wish to use the fire place you are to notify one of the owners before having a fire and follow all fire place instructions provided.

12. The farm animals, barn and all other agricultural buildings are not for guest use; they are not to be entered or physically interacted with at any time.

13. Guests are strictly prohibited from entering the gulch to the east of the property. It is extremely steep and dangerous.

-Rates include daily breakfast Monday – Saturday. Our kitchen is closed on Sundays. Please refer to your check in details sent via email prior to arrival as the type of breakfast service may vary due to covid.

-Daily maid service is NOT provided but can be arranged for an additional charge of $25 a day. Please inquire for daily maid service upon making your reservation.

Doing so will result in penalties and fees. Management will provide you a temporary gate code for your visitors upon approval of your visitor inquiry.

COVID RELATED POLICIES, CANCELATIONS AND QUARANTINE INFORMATION:

We are working closely with all guests and have flexible policies due to covid related cancelations. Please contact us directly as policies are based off of current state and government guidelines as well as restrictions.

Please be advised that North Shore Lookout is not able to quarantine guests for any reason or period of time.

12. The barn and agricultural buildings are not for guest use; they are not to be entered at any time. Please inquire with management if you wish to meet the farm animals.

13. If guests wish to have visitors they must request and notify management prior to arriving on property and is limited to 2 visitors. Management will provide parking instructions. If visitors plan to partake in the amenities at the resort a $20 fee will be collected per person. Please do not give out our gate code to your visitor! Doing so will result in penalties and fees. Management will provide you with a temporary gate code upon approval of your visitor inquiry.
