THE BEST B&B IN MAUI! My Husband & I stayed here for 3 nights while on our Honeymoon. This was our second accommodation (we stayed near Kaanapali beach for the first 3 nights). North Shore Lookout was recommended to us by a friend and all I can say is WOW! This was a perfect spot for a more romantic & secluded stay. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the beautiful views. We stayed in the Hoku suite and it was absolutely perfect. This suite is at the end of the building so we didn’t have anyone on the one side of us. We had exclusive access to a nice hammock & fire pit with beautiful string lights. The hosts were so warm and welcoming. They provided great recommendations as this was our first visit to Maui. The provided us with a cute welcome package. The breakfast was amazing. A lot of great choices including a delicious smoothie and coffee, plus amazing views. Every single detail of the whole property was just incredible. The lobby area is stunning, equip with a lot of games and a cute swing out front to catch the views. The property is very secluded and quiet which was exactly what we needed to unwind and relax. Every inch of the property provides amazing views. The back area is a shared area with a pool & hot tub. On a clear night, the sunsets are INCREDIBLE! They had another hammock and fire pit area with chairs near the pool & hot tub, again, with amazing views & sunsets. Not too busy either! We only saw one other couple at the pool & hot tub while we were using it. This was our BEST accommodation during our Honeymoon in Maui & Kauai. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. Again, a secluded space so you will need a vehicle to get around as there is not much within walking distance. This was no issue for us. When we visit Maui again, we will 100% stay at North Shore Lookout!

Relaxing, well run BnB in a beautiful location. Very beautiful location overlooking the north part of the valley and west end of Maui. The common spaces are large, comfortable and attractive. The pool is very nice. The rooms are spacious, well designed and very clean. Breakfast is very good and an attractive place to eat. Sunset was a nice time to be outside enjoying the changing colors. We would very much try to stay again.

Paradise! North Shore Lookout is a slice of paradise set in the serene and breathtaking hills of Maui. The stunning tropical landscape, the sounds of nature and the dreamy, misty blue skies truly transport you. The spacious accommodations were spotless with a modern design and cozy feel, with every amenity thoughtfully provided for guests. The delicious breakfasts, pool, view, and hospitality of the lovely hosts were all exceptional. I only wish that I could have stayed longer and will certainly return to this hidden Maui oasis. Don’t miss out on this absolute gem!

Exceptional Bed and Breakfast We had always wanted to stay close by Haleakala so we could do a long hike without driving halfway across the island. With an extensive search we discovered this bed and breakfast and booked for 3 nights in March. We could not have been more pleased or surprised with the property and our room. The location was perfect. Away from the big resorts in a beautiful scenic area near Makawao. The convience to Haleakala was perfect to beat the crowds and bicyclists. We did a nice 1/2 day hike and enjoyed the warm pool and hot tub afterwards. The B&B sits on a small hillside with ocean views in the distance. We loved the quietness with occassional birdsong. There are several seating areas outdoors, near the pool or out the back deck. One morning we ate our breakfast on the deck outside, and one day ate inside in the spacious shared gathering room. Our suite was the Pele suite and thought it was perfect for our 3 nights. The suite is huge with a hall that separates the bathroom from the main bedroom. Tasteful decor, and luxury linens/towels. There is a nice mini kitchenette with utensils, plates, glasses and welcoming basket of goodies. The inn also has an outdoor kitchen so we used the bar b que to prepare fresh tuna steaks one evening. We love bed and breakfasts and this one is without a doubt one of the best we have ever stayed at.

A place to heal and get grounded A place to get away from it all and heal and fill up your energy bucket. Spent five night and enjoying the beautiful nature. Rooms large and beautifully decorated with a fantastic breakfast. This was a outstanding combination with our Maui healing retreat.

Top notch We were fortunate to stay at the north shore lookout for 5 days while doing a 20 day tour of Hawaii. This place is a little slice of paradise. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are cleaner than a picture can capture. The room was immaculate and there were so many little touches, you lack for nothing here. Josh and Shannon are friendly people who will make you feel special as they bring you coffee while sitting outside on the deck ( or inside if you like) while looking at the beautiful scenery. They would only let me give them 5 stars. I would double that! You won’t be sorry if you book with them

Epic View Of Maui I spent my last two nights at Northshore Lookout. It's in the hills of Maui near the quaint village of Makawao. I felt like I received the seclusion and peace that comes with camping while staying in a stylish spacious suite. My suite had a beautiful kitchen, dining and resting area. The floor plan is beautifully laid out providing a great space for lounging around. The bed, pillows and linen were also incredibly comfortable. My friend and I enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi with spectacular views of the ocean. Breakfast was also delicious and I loved that they have an espresso machine to make cappuccinos in the morning (a lot of places just have drip coffee). I can't wait to go back with my family next time!

Amazing Experience North Shore Lookout is great. A truly top notch experience. Fantastic all around. Spacious and comfortable rooms, epic views and superb hospitality from Shannan and Josh who have done an incredible job making this special property an oasis for their guests. If you are looking at options of places to stay on Maui; look no further, this is your place!

Outstanding B&B North Shore Lookout is truly a special bed and breakfast. The property is amazing with spacious, comfortable, and stylish rooms, a fantastic pool and garden area, and breath-taking views. Its location up in the mountains is a major draw. The views, especially sunsets, are unbelievable and it is particularly fun when you are in, or above, the clouds. We found the location, away from more major tourist areas, to be a huge benefit. It had a more authentic, relaxed feel. However, you are an easy 15-30 minute drive from many great restaurants, activities, and beaches (they even provide you with beach chairs, towels, and snorkeling gear!). Also, if you like hiking, there are some great areas very close to the B&B.Finally, a word has to be said about the lovely family who runs this special property. They are the definition of great hosts. Friendly and accommodating while understanding that no one wants to feel like people are "hovering" around them. The breakfasts were outstanding (great fruit selection, delicious coffee, and they very kindly made sure my wife, who is gluten free, always had some kind of bread or pastry). Be sure to ask to be introduced to the farm animals (horse, pig, chickens) who are sweet and hilarious.I cannot recommend North Shore Lookout enough. Do yourself a favor a stay here, not at some big resort.
